The sea covers 3/4 of the Earth's surface and displays a wide variety of environments – from coral reefs in the tropics to unknown, deep oceans, to our own Baltic Sea and the West Coast. If you choose to study marine biology, marine geology and chemistry, or oceanography, you become part of our quest to overcome environmental problems in the ocean and learn more about life in the sea. Your starting point for knowledge about the Baltic Sea

Many courses use the Askö Laboratory to allow students to try out practical fieldwork in our excellent facilities close to Stockholm. Most are university students from introductory to graduate levels, coming from several different departments.
